Start from your hotel—not downtown Las Vegas
A general mileage figure to downtown rarely describes the route from your actual hotel. Choose the hotel first if dinners, shows and nightlife matter. Then compare courses from that address, at the time you expect to leave, allowing extra margin for groups with golf bags.
Strip convenience versus a dedicated golf day
Bali Hai sits on Las Vegas Boulevard and is often practical when time between tee time and evening plans is limited. Wynn Golf Club can be a premium resort-centered choice when the trip fits its booking conditions. TPC Las Vegas and Paiute offer different settings farther from the central Strip.
Summerlin, Henderson and Lake Las Vegas
The right hotel base depends on more than map distance. A group playing west-of-town courses could choose differently from visitors focused on the Strip. Lake Las Vegas can suit a scenic resort stay, but a nightlife-centered party may prefer staying closer to Strip venues.
Confirm the full journey
Check road routing, traffic around major events, rental car or transfer availability, bag capacity and pickup windows. We do not show invented driving-time estimates; ask for a date-specific routing check before locking the schedule.
Hotel and course location checklist
- Write down the exact hotel, not simply “the Strip.”
- Compare routes for your actual departure time, including event-day traffic.
- Check whether each transfer vehicle can carry both passengers and golf bags.
- Leave realistic time after golf for showers, changing and evening reservations.
Use the first tee to set the morning plan
Backwards-plan from check-in or recommended course arrival, not only the listed tee time. A group of eight with bags can need more loading time than a couple traveling light. Avoid turning estimated drive times into guarantees: departure address, date and conditions change the answer.
